FAQ for newborns

Should I schedule my newborn session within the first 15 days after delivery? Yes. During first two weeks of life they are still very sleepy and limber. They are used to being all squished up in the womb and it is very comfortable for them. After 15 days, their alert times get greater and they prefer to be stretched out.

How soon do I need to contact you before my baby is born and how does booking work?   It is best to book with me minimum 3 months before your set due date.  You will pay a deposit to hold your spot, this will guarantee you time with me.  Within 3 days of birth please let me know so we can set up a shoot time within the first 5-14 days of life, it is important to get in contact with me as soon as the babies born.

What time of day are your in-home newborn sessions? Usually, I come to your home in the early morning around 10-11 to capture that natural light.  I use all areas of your home with windows, many of times it's the master bedroom.
Do you have a stuido? No, I come to you.

Do I bring props, baskets and backdrops? - My style is more minimalistic/lifestyle, focusing primarily on the bond between you and your baby. I do provide neutral toned blankets & swaddles for you to choose from for your session. I love to capture them in a natural form, I do bring my posing chair and maybe a prop or two if that is the look we talked about before hand.

Do you offer any discounts for booking the maternity & newborn session together? -Yes, please email me to inquire about this deal.

How long does s a newborn session last? A newborn session is the longest, running around 2 - 4 hours to allow enough time to feed, soothe and safely pose the baby.

Can my husband and other children join me in for the newborn session? Of course!

Do you charge traveling fee? Yes, if you are 30 minutes outside of Caledon area.
How many final images will I receive? This depends on the package you've selected.  Typically you'll be getting more then you think.
How long will it take to get my images and how will I get them? - An online gallery will be sent to you within 3 weeks of the session. I will send you a sneak peeks within usually a few days of the session.

Do you provide gift certificates?  Yes I do!  They are printed in either cash denomination or photo session type.  They do carry an expiry date on one year.
Is their a deposit to secure my session?-  Yes, I ask for $50 retainer to hold your spot. Retainer fees are non-refundable and due upon booking. Sessions do not go on my calendar until the fee is paid. Final payment is due the day before or the day of session. No images will be edited until final payment is received, and gallery will be posted within three weeks of receiving final payment if it is made after session. Here is the price list to review
